After the bearing lubricating oil deteriorates, it is dark black, foamy and emulsified. It has no sticky feeling, astringent or peculiar smell after being ground with fingers. It is dark brown when dripping on white paper, and there are no yellow infiltration areas or many black spots. If it is not replaced in time, it will accelerate the wear of the parts, affect the service life, and even cause safety accidents. Therefore, it is particularly important to check whether the bearing lubricating oil has deteriorated and replace it in time.
Several simple identification methods are introduced as follows:
1) Oil flow observation method
Take two measuring cups, one of which contains the bearing lubricant to be inspected, and the other empty on the table. Place the measuring cup full of bearing lubricant 30-40 cm away from the table top and tilt it to let the lubricant flow slowly. In the empty cup, observe its flow. The oil flow of good quality lubricating oil should be slender, uniform and continuous. If the oil flow is sudden and slow, and sometimes large pieces flow down, it means that the bearing lubricating oil has deteriorated.
2) Hand twist method
Twist the bearing lubricating oil between the thumb and the index finger for repeated grinding, the better lubricating oil feels lubricating, less wear debris, and no friction. If you feel a greater friction such as sand between the fingers, it indicates lubrication There are too many magazines in the oil, which can no longer be used. Replace with new lubricating oil.
3) Illumination method
On a sunny day, use a screwdriver to lift up the bearing lubricant and make a 45-degree angle with the horizontal. Contrast with sunlight and observe the condition of oil droplets. Under sunlight, it can be clearly seen that there is no wear debris in the lubricating oil as good and can continue to function. If there are too many wear debris, the lubricating oil should be replaced.
4) Oil drop trace method
Take a piece of clean white filter paper and place a few drops of oil on the filter test. After the bearing lubricant leaks on the paper, if there is black powder on the surface and there is a sense of resistance to the touch, it means that there are many magazines in the lubricant. , Good lubricating oil is powder-free, dry and smooth to the touch by hand, and shows yellow marks.
